Knox Trail Council's 38^th Annual Invitational Golf Outing

The Knox Trail Council, Boy Scouts of America will be holding it’s 38^th Annual Golf Outing to benefit the youth of our 21 cities and towns throughout the Metro West area. We are pleased to announce that this event will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2008 at the Marlborough Country Club in Marlborough, MA. The outing is open to all interested in supporting the Scouting program of the the Knox Trail Council.

Event Schedule for the Day…                  8:00 a.m.          Registration                                          

                                                9:00 a.m.          Shotgun Start (Earlier Start this year!)

                                                2:30 p.m.          Reception including Raffle, Auction & Awards

The tournament is limited to the first 100 players. Included in the tournament fee will be fees and cart, lunch on the course, Hole in one contest, golf shirt, give-aways, and a fabulous reception that will conclude the event.

How can you help? If you play golf, sign up to play, better yet consider putting together a foursome! Plus we’re looking for items for raffles, gift cards, gift certificates, merchandise, tickets to events, donating a threesome at your country club, get away weekends etc., all will help to generate the needed revenue from this event. There are plenty of sponsorship opportunities as well that will help the cause and promote your company. We’re also looking for 100 of anything for our give-away bags. If you have it, we can use it!

Again this year will be the Robsham-Barss Floating Trophy presented to the foursome that who obtains the overall lowest score!

Scouting in the Metro West area is on the rise. Proceeds derived from this outing will help to increase the number of young people who are enrolled in the Scouting program. Please use the enclosed response form to indicate your interest in participating. Sponsorship for 18 holes and other sponsorship opportunities are available.

Your response on or before September 19^th is greatly needed and deeply appreciated. Thank you very much and we look forward to hopefully what will be your positive response. If you’re unable to participate, please help promote our outing by forwarding this on to a golfer you know, or a company that be interested in a sponsorship, donating a prize, or give-aways. We need your help in reaching our $10,000 Goal!
